From Riverside, CA

Animal Science Major

Hi! I’m Charlie, a third-year Animal Science student and one of the Western Club’s new Fundraising Committee members. After over a decade of riding and training with my gelding, Zephyr, I joined the club to meet likeminded horse folk and jump back into the competition scene! If you’re looking for a loving and talented horse community you are in the right place with us! Zephyr and I are excited to see where this year takes the club! 🐴🤠

Psychology BA,

Equine Science Minor

I am a 4th year majoring in Psychology and minoring in Equine Science! I rode mostly english and driving before joining the club, but it has been so much fun learning a new discipline and meeting everyone. I will never forget how welcoming the team was as a 3rd year transfer and how much smoother they made my first quarter feel :)

Animal Science Major

Hi! My name is Aiyana Ramirez, and I’m on this year’s fundraising committee! I’ve been riding horses for four years and have loved every second. I joined the UCD Western Equestrian Club last year and have participated in horsemanship through IHSA. I joined hoping to rekindle my spiritual connection with horses. Along the way, I’ve gained a family. This journey is in loving remembrance of my Scooby, and I hope I’m making him proud.

Anthropology Major

South Lake Tahoe

I am a senior this year and major in Evolutionary Anthropology and I joined the UCD Western Club last year as a transfer student. What stood out to me is how welcoming the team is, focusing on a positive environment, inclusion and improvement in western disciplines! I’m excited to be moving forward with this attitude and welcoming new and returning teammates to explore western riding and showing, and improving my horsemanship! The team knows how to both work hard and play hard :)
